The lockdown due to coronavirus is an unprecedented event to rethink how we do business and the changes that can bring to the ecosystem to make it more sustainable. Growth is the most critical term that drives every business organization. For publicly listed companies, quarter to quarter growth is inevitable, and failing to meet the expectations of the market may lead to the collapse of the company. Even in private companies, the day-to-day business impulse is on the basis of its growth plans. But where did the term 'growth' come into businesses as a driving force?
'Disruption' is an expression that profusely started using when technology started producing solutions by interfering with traditional ways of solutions. In other words, the conventional arrangements failed when the new technology started providing better solutions. ഈ ആര്‍ട്ടിക്കിള്‍ എഴുതുന്നത്‌ കൊറോണ ഐസോലേഷനില്‍ ഇരുന്നു കൊണ്ടാണ്. കൊറോണ ഉണ്ടാക്കാന്‍ പോകുന്ന സാമ്പത്തിക സ്വാധീനങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് ചിന്തിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു ഞാന്‍. ആലോചിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ ഭീതിയുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന ചില കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ എന്‍റെ മനസ്സിലൂടെ കടന്നു പോയി. അതുപോലെ ആവേശമുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന ചിലതും. ഭീതി എന്താണെന്നു വച്ചാല്‍, ഒരുപാടു ബിസിനസ്‌ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ ഇതിനെ അതി ജീവിക്കുന്നതില്‍ പരാജയപ്പെടും എന്നുള്ളതാണ്. അതിനെ തടുക്കാന്‍ നമുക്ക് ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാന്‍ കഴിയില്ല എന്നതും. മറുവശത്ത് , ആവേശമുണ്ടാക്കുന്നത്‌ ഈ ലോക്ക് ഡൌണ്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കാന്‍ സാധ്യതയുള്ള അവസരങ്ങള്‍ മുന്നില്‍ കാണുന്നത് കൊണ്ടാണ്. എന്തൊക്കെ മാറുമെന്നും എന്തൊക്കെ പുതുതായി ഉണ്ടാകാന്‍ സാധ്യത ഉണ്ട് എന്നും അതിനെ എങ്ങിനെ മുതലെടുക്കാമെന്നും നമുക്ക് വിശദമായി നോക്കാം.
This article is written while on seclusion due to the coronavirus, at my ancestral home. I'm thinking about the economic changes that may occur post to this quarantine period. I'm a bit scared and a little excited as well while thinking about the post lockdown period. Scary because I believe several businesses will lose this battle and close their account book. That will be an unavoidable event, and we can do nothing to save them. But on the other end, I'm excited because of the hope that opportunities that this crisis may create. Every disruption comes with an abundance of new chances to create wealth. Let's have a look, what will be the changes that are going to happen to existing businesses and then how new the opportunities will be.
Innovation in products and processes is considers as a success factor in any business. Large businesses are obviously considered innovation as leading aspect to create a competitive advantage.
